~ Faith Confessions For Wisdom ~

wisdom-green-sign

Got Wisdom? Wisdom only comes from ONE place, the ONLY wise God. THESE ARE FAITH CONFESSIONS FOR WISDOM

Jude 1:25 ~ To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Proverbs 4:7 ~ Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get  understanding.

Proverbs 3:5 ~ Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

SAY THIS ~ I trust in you Lord with all my heart, and I do not lean on my own understanding.

Proverbs 3:6 ~ In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

SAY THIS ~ In all my ways I acknowledge you Lord, and I thank you that you direct my path.

Romans 12:2 ~ 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of  your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect,  will of God.

SAY THIS ~ I am not conformed to this world, but I am continually transformed by renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Psalm 138:8 ~ 8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

SAY THIS ~ I thank you Lord that you perfect that which concerns me, your mercy O Lord endures forever.

John 14:26 ~ 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

SAY THIS ~ Father I thank you that you have sent the Holy Ghost to teach me all things, and bring all things that you have said to my remembrance.

James 1:5 ~ If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

SAY THIS ~ Lord I ask you for wisdom. I ask in faith and I believe that I receive it. Thank you lord for the wisdom that you have given me.

So you fell flat on your face- Ahh!

There is no need to throw your hands up in the air when things don’t go as planned. Resist the temptation to embrace frustration or to have a meltdown. There is no need to hide from the world to disconnect, and there is no need for you to try to find someone to blame for the failure. Frustration is the everyday bread to those who give up and that is not you!

So you fell flat

on your face… Oh no!

What to do?

Just get back up! Go back to the drawing board and do things God’s way. He is more than able to help and lead you to success if you follow His lead! He will make your path strait. Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

There is one thing to keep in mind. We do need people in our world to speak truth and to counsel us as we prepare to make big decisions. We don’t know it all. If you ask God, He will lead you to these people so that you have all the insight you need. Even though you make your own decisions, remember as well that you can’t ignore God’s council and expect things to go right. A one-man band is only good for entertainment…

P.L.A.N.S.

P– Pray for direction.

L– Listen to counsel.

A– Always let God have the final word.

N– No need to rush. God’s timing is the right one.

S. Success should always be measured by God’s
standards and not men’s standards.

–>Wisdom from Proverbs

Proverbs 16:3 Proverbs 4:26

Proverbs 16:20 Proverbs 15:22

Proverbs 3:6 Proverbs 11:14

Proverbs 16:9 Proverbs 4:18

I drew the acronym for the word PLANS from these verses. It is not meant to be your ABCs of life, but more as key components that should be part of your decision-making process.

~ Knowing The Source Of Your Problems ~

Ephesians 6:12 ~ For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,  against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

This clearly defines the target; our enemy is spiritual. Be very clear that the cause of most of your problems, and ALL of your attacks have a spiritual source.

So much of a believer’s time is wasted, energy expended, and injury incurred because we exhaust ourselves battling people (flesh and blood) instead of the spiritual forces at work in a situation. In the process of attempting to wrestle believers into defeat in their personal lives, the devil attempts to divert the force of our “spiritual” warfare toward others—in our families, our churches, our work place and community.

The devil knows full well these two things:

(1) if we start fighting other people, they will certainly oblige us and fight back.

(2) that if we start fighting each other, we will never get around to defeating him.

So, whatever (or whoever) you face today, make up your mind about the conflict. Our enemy is the devil. As we make war in prayer and make peace with those around us, the devil stands no chance of succeeding in our lives.

~ Abortion – Its About The Blood ~

images.jpg12

Feeling prompted to tackle some of the tougher issues in Christianity I have decided to start with abortion. I have always held a pro-life position since becoming a Christian because that is what I had been taught, however I had never taken the time to study the scriptures for myself on this topic until now.

As Christians we MUST live life in such a way that the Word of God is the FINAL authority on what we believe. Not what we have been taught, not our denominations position, and certainly not our opinion.

Some people think we all have a God-given right to believe what we choose, and they would be right, unless the person considers themselves  Christian. As Christians we no longer have a right to believe whatever we wish, instead we have a responsibility to find the truth and line our believing up with God’s Word. We relinquish all rights to frivolous believing when we make Jesus the Lord of our lives.

That being said I have found the Word of God very clear on the matter and I regret that I haven’t studied it out sooner. Abortion is wrong on so many levels but I am only going to address the few points that pro-choice believers seem to use as a technicality to allow them to justify abortion.

There is grace and forgiveness for everyone, including Christians who have taken part in abortion. I do not write this to condemn or judge anyone; God knows I have a full-time job judging myself. I am not pointing fingers but addressing this topic in light of scripture.

when

Jeremiah 1:5 says: ~ “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Who or what did God know and consecrate before the womb? A glob of lifeless tissue, random cells with no purpose? Or was it a child, a created being?

Genesis 25:21-22 b“…and Rebekah his [Isaac’s] wife conceived. And the children struggled together within her…”

Rebekah’s unborn twins, Jacob and Esau, are referred to as “children” (the Hebrew word used, banim, plural of ben), commonly refers to children after birth, or “sons.”

The unborn John the Baptist, “leaped in her [Elizabeth’s] womb” because he was in the presence of the unborn Christ Luke 1:41-44.

In Psalm 51:5 King David said he was sinful from the time he was conceived. He said this by inspiration of the Holy Spirit or it wouldn’t be in the bible. Therefore, he became a person at the moment of conception, for only a person can have a sin nature.

In the Old Testament, a criminal injury that caused a pregnant woman’s unborn child to die was treated the same as any other crime. The criminal was punished less severely, only if the baby was born alive, although premature (Exodus 21:22-24).

Exodus 21:22-24~ 22 “If men fight, and hurt a woman with child, so that she gives birth prematurely, yet no harm follows, he shall surely be punished accordingly as the woman’s husband imposes on him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 But if any harm follows, then you shall give life for life, 24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,

The phrase in verse 22 “yet no harm follows” means that the baby lives, in verse 23 the phrase “but if any harm follows” means any harm to the baby and punishment is given accordingly. There was severe judgment for harming an unborn child even by accident, let alone on purpose.

Job 31:13-15 ~ “If I have despised the cause of my male or female servant when they complained against me,
14 What then shall I do when God rises up? When He punishes, how shall I answer Him?

15 Did not He who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same One fashion us in the womb?”

The forming of a person in the womb is God’s work, not men’s work. This means that even the tragic cases of pregnancies due to incest or rape are no justification for killing the innocent child in the womb.

Ezekiel 18:20, prohibits executing or even punishing a child for the crime of his/her father.

Ezekiel 18:20 ~ The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

The Life is in The Blood

Leviticus 17:11  ~ For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.

Within days of fertilization the chorion/sac is beginning to have its own blood supply through forming blood vessels.

It is interesting to note that the baby has its own blood supply, separate from the mothers, and can even be a different blood type. The baby is developing blood cells even before a conventional pregnancy test can come back positive.

Blood is not just natural, but spiritual, and to me this settles the entire issue. It was blood that God chose to make atonement for sins in the Old Testament. It was the blood of Christ that was spilled for ALL mankind and redeemed my soul from destruction. Even spilled blood that has no natural life is still alive spiritually and that blood has a voice. Look what happened when Cain killed Abel.

Genesis 4:10 ~ And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.

432714870_640

If Abel’s blood cried out and God heard it, how many cries does God have to listen to daily from the spilled blood of innocent unborn children?

Despite the claims of pro-abortionists that unborn babies are disposable clumps of tissue, they are human, created beings right from fertilization. Despite the fact that scientific evidence of blood cell development occurs a few days after fertilization, all the DNA coding needed to build a human being is there in the fertilized egg. Undeniably, even the two basic cells are alive and God ordained regardless of circumstance.

SUMMARY ~ Biblically, life definitely begins at conception.  Abortion is evil, not just because it takes an innocent life but because what is happening in the womb is the unique work of God. Abortion is an assault on the Creators right as the King of the Universe to bring an eternal being into existence on the earth.

To attack the eternal being in the womb and kill him or her is to assault God. God is making the child, not man. God is weaving a unique image of his own divine glory with the purpose of showing forth that glory in the world. Killing the child is an attack on God’s glory and is treason against the Most High God.

~ The Mechanics Of Faith ~

There is no other topic on faith more controversial in religious circles. Yet this is the one topic you MUST understand to operate in, and understand faith the way God designed. I chose the words “Mechanics Of Faith” because it is the God ordained way of operating in faith. This is spiritual LAW, based on principles that God has laid out for us in His Word. First, lets establish God’s method of operation, how God chooses to do things:

1 Corinthians 1:26-28 ~ For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the
things
which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are,

Do you see the pattern here? God’s chosen way of doing things is directly opposite of what we think is natural. That being said, we can see why this principle is so misunderstood. You must force yourself to think this way and trust that God knows what He is talking about. It will not come natural to you at first because this fallen and broken world has trained us to think in the opposite direction

Keep in mind verse 27. God has chosen the foolish and weak things to put to shame the “wise and mighty”…..and here we are …The Chosen! That thought alone should produce a little humility.

God chose this method of using things that are not manifest (things that you cannot see, smell, touch, etc.) to bring to NOTHING the things that ARE manifest. This is what we see in the New Testament healings by Jesus. To practically every miracle of healing He added a comment such as, “Thy faith hath saved thee”; “According to your faith be it done unto you”; “Thy faith hath made thee whole”; “ If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes”.

God has chosen the unseen force of faith (the thing that is NOT manifest) to bring to nothing the things are manifest. (sickness and disease, poverty, oppression, etc.)

One great enemy of our faith is fear of the visible and tangible. The church has become slaves to the visible and the tangible. We make a huge deal out of deeds and very little of words.  To understand this principle of “Calling things that are not as though they were”, we must understand the power of words. The first chapter of John holds a key.

John 1:1-3 ~ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

We must realize that God has not changed. He now dwells inside regenerate man and still works by this one unchangeable process:

  • The Father speaks His word.
  • The Son speaks, and does the Father’s word by faith.
  • The Spirit manifests the substance of that word in the natural
    realm.

One responsibility lies with man, and it is so pivotal that ALL the outcome is dependant on this one activity … Man must carry out the process of faith.

This is no magic formula, no magicians trick. This is NOT trying to “get God to do something”. This is simply Man co-operating with God on the inside and yielding to this creative/re-creative process.

The word of God expressed by the speaking and doing, results in the substance of that word being manifest in the natural realm.

We must embrace the power of the unseen realm, God’s realm, where true power comes from things you cannot see. Here is the principle:

Romans 4:17 ~ (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many
nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

God uses Abraham (the father of our faith) as the example for this process of faith. God changed his name from ABRAM to ABRAHAM. Abraham
literally means “father of a multitude”. Was he a father of a multitude when
his name was changed? No, but when he did call him Abraham, the force of faith was released and now the Spirit of God had a legal right to bring it to pass in the natural realm. This is the “Mechanics Of Faith” in action.

Lets look at an example in Jesus life and ministry;

Mark 11:12-14 ~ And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: 13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet. 14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Mark 11:20-22 ~ 20And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. 21And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away. 22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Even Jesus, when He spoke to the fig tree, did not see results that very minute. They did not see the results of His  “cursing the fig tree” until the next morning. Many people get discouraged when they confess God’s word and don’t see results right away. They speak to their disease or problem, they declare what God’s word says about their situation and if it doesn’t manifest when they think it should, they give up and cast away their confidence. They don’t hold fast to their confession, so they get no results.

Hebrews 10:23 ~ Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

The word “profession” is the same word used for confession. We must trust God that what He said is true, and we must trust the process of faith that He has ordained, calling those things that are not manifest as though they were.

1 John 5:4 ~ … and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.
